Predominantly attention focused on the mechanisms of the technology and their attributes applied to a wide range of instructional problems. Underlying the practical implementation of the technology however were concerns which might best be described as a 'hidden agenda'. Garth Boomer alluded to a series of non-technology based considerations from which items for this agenda might be derived. This article discusses those items and suggests that they may provide a parallel working model (to design considerations) for the future development of educational technology in Australia.</span> ER -
