Special Issue: Technology-enabled Support for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Research Supervision

To advance the field of educational technology in tertiary education, this special issue aims to:

  • Enhance the pedagogical use of digital technologies in undergraduate and postgraduate research supervision practices
  • Provide adequate support for the digital technologies used for both undergraduate and postgraduate research supervisors as well as supervisees
  • Align the in-person and virtual undergraduate/postgraduate research supervision experiences for both supervisors and supervisees
  • Develop a shared understanding of the conception/roles of digital technologies in undergraduate and postgraduate research supervision
  • Contribute to an under-researched but increasingly essential area in higher education across Australasia.

We are inviting evidence-based papers including theoretical contributions related to this theme, including but not limited to:

  • The conception/the roles of digital technology in undergraduate and postgraduate research supervision
  • Effective and efficient use of digital technologies in undergraduate and postgraduate research supervision
  • Digital technologies support for undergraduate and postgraduate research supervisors and students
  • Digital technologies that facilitate pedagogies of research supervision
  • Online learning community of undergraduate and postgraduate research students

 

Manuscript Submission Instructions

Manuscripts addressing the special issue’s focus should be submitted through the AJET online manuscript submission system. Please review the Author Guidelines and Submission Preparation Checklist carefully, and prepare your manuscript accordingly. Information about the peer review process and criteria is also available for your perusal.

Submission deadline: 1st March 2023 15th March 2023 (Extended)

Decision on manuscripts: 16th May 2023

Revised/final manuscripts: 16th June 2023

Articles ready for copyediting: 23rd June 2023

Expected Publication: August/September 2023
